Significance
Blessing
Blessing ritual is done to help with the purification for the New Year.
It is important to ask God for guidance and protection during the blessing.
The blessing will also help to bring good fortune and happiness to the household.
In the teachings, it is said that “God works according to your true sincere heart.”
Amulet “Ofuda”
The Ofuda will support to protect your family for the whole year.
It is also a reminder for you to not forget all the blessings you are receiving.
We recommend placing the Amulet “Ofuda” in your house somewhere high and visible.
When you see the Ofuda, please give thanks in your heart.
Kouhaku Mochi
Mochi is eaten in the New Year to bring purification and good fortune.
The white mochi represents the male figure and the pink mochi represents to female figure.
The balance of the two is very important.
Wishing Card
Wishing Card is for you to write your wishes and prayers.
The card will be placed on our altar for the whole year.
Your wishes will be hidden from view.
